Ye kaam isliye kiya ja raha hai taki aise accidents aage nahi ho. 8 February, 2023 ko aaye is incident mein, pehli baar Delhi Metro station ka koi hissa gira tha. Iske baad, DMRC ke managing director ne sabhi metro lines ka safety audit karne ka order diya tha. Jaanch mein pata chala ki Gokalpuri mein, concrete wall, drainage system ke upar banayi gayi thi, aur usmein support beams nahi the. Is wajah se, wall apne weight ko handle nahi kar payi aur gir gayi. Isse bachne ke liye, DMRC ne Mayur Vihar Phase 1 aur Shiv Vihar ke beech, 17 elevated stations par concrete railings ko steel railings se replace karna shuru kiya hai.
