The project will significantly benefit the residents of nearby towns like Kahan, which has a large population commuting to Nagpur for work and education. Butibori, a large industrial estate, and Hingna, a rapidly developing town, will also benefit from improved connectivity. The total investment for both phases of the project is 15,388 crores. Once operational, the second phase is expected to transport 5.5 lakh passengers daily, increasing to 6.3 lakh in 2031 and 7.7 lakh in 2041.
