Rajya Sabha MP Raja Amaredeeswar Naik has repeatedly requested the Indian Ministry of Tourism to extend the Visakhapatnam-Mahaboobnagar (Train No. 12861) and Mahaboobnagar-Visakhapatnam (Train No. 12882) trains to Mantralaya via Raichur to benefit the surrounding districts, including Raichur. However, his requests have been ignored.
