ECR's Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chand, stated that the maize is loaded from ECR's Sonpur and Samastipur divisions mainly to northern Indian stations like Ambala and Rudrapur, and southern Indian stations like Erode and Tirupur. Up to May 20, 2024, Sonpur division had loaded 100 rakes, generating revenue of ₹35 crore, compared to 189 rakes in the entire 2023-24, generating ₹85 crore. Samastipur division had loaded 72 rakes by May 20, 2024, generating ₹27.25 crore, compared to 122 rakes in the entire 2023-24, generating ₹61 crore.
