The Federation of Tiruvallur District Railway Passengers Association highlights the need for improved bus services, as over 1.69 lakh commuters utilize the station daily. TNSTC (Villupuram) currently operates only one town bus making two trips from the station to the terminus, with a private bus also operating on the route.
