The railway is expected to release a schedule within a couple of days, and regular train operations are likely to begin on May 11. The track between Jogindernagar, Bajnath Papola, and Kopar Lahड़ has been operational, but train services to Nurpur Road had been suspended due to track damage caused by a landslide near Kopar Lahड़. Following the track repair, a trial run with a rail engine was conducted on April 26, 2024, from Nurpur Road to Kopar Lahड़. On May 1, 2024, a trial with two carriages was conducted, with the rail engine reaching Kopar Lahड़. On May 7, 2024, an Accident Relief Train (ART) was run on the track as part of the preparations for resuming train services. It reached Jwalamukhi Road. The current trial run with empty carriages is believed to be the final stage.
