On Sunday, passengers on the Amritsar-Tatanagar Jallianwala Bagh Express, already running 15 hours late, expressed their outrage when the train was unnecessarily halted at Kunki Station. The train's prolonged stoppage for over half an hour led to several passengers disembarking at Kunki Station and confronting the guard and engine staff, demanding...

an explanation. However, they received no satisfactory answers. After the passengers' outburst, the train finally resumed its journey. A Sikh passenger in Tatanagar claimed that the railway frequently delays passenger trains to prioritize freight trains. While the train was stopped at Kunki Station, three freight trains passed by. Passengers complained that this practice of halting passenger trains to give way to freight trains is common in the Chakradharpur division. It's noteworthy that passengers on the Azad Hind and Gitanjali Express trains had also protested at Tatanagar Station recently due to similar delays. According to reports, the Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani and Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat trains also arrived late in Tatanagar due to delays at other stations. Meanwhile, the Mumbai-Howrah Gitanjali, Kurla-Shalimar, and Ahmedabad-Howrah Express trains have been consistently arriving late in Tatanagar for nearly a month. This delay is attributed to the limited platform capacity at Tatanagar, necessitating the halting of long-distance trains at other stations until a platform becomes available. This practice leads to delays for trains originating from Bihar, UP, and Mumbai. Conversely, trains from Mumbai, Pune, Odisha, and Howrah operate on altered schedules, causing inconvenience to thousands of passengers travelling on these routes.

Sunday ko, Amritsar-Tatanagar Jallianwala Bagh Express ke passengers, jo ki 15 ghante late chal rahi thi, bahut angry ho gaye jab train ko Kunki Station pe be wajah rok diya gaya.

Passengers ke angry hone ke baad, train finally chal padi. Tatanagar mein, ek Sikh passenger ne kaha ki railway freight trains ko priority deta hai aur isliye passenger trains ko be wajah roka jata hai. Jab train Kunki Station pe khari thi, tab 3 freight trains guzar gayi. Passengers ne complain kiya ki Chakradharpur division mein passenger trains ko rok kar freight trains ko jaane dena ek common practice hai. Ye bhi notice kiya gaya hai ki Azad Hind aur Gitanjali Express trains ke passengers bhi recently Tatanagar Station pe similar delays ki wajah se protest kar chuke hain. Reports ke mutabik, Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani aur Ranchi-Howrah Vande Bharat trains bhi other stations pe rukne ki wajah se Tatanagar late aayi. Iske saath hi, Mumbai-Howrah Gitanjali, Kurla-Shalimar aur Ahmedabad-Howrah Express trains almost ek mahine se lagatar Tatanagar late aa rahi hain. Is delay ka reason Tatanagar mein limited platform capacity hai, jiske wajah se long distance trains ko other stations pe roka jaata hai jab tak ki koi platform available nahin ho jaata. Isse Bihar, UP aur Mumbai se aane wali trains late ho jaati hain. Iske opposite, Mumbai, Pune, Odisha aur Howrah station se aane wali trains changed schedule pe chalti hain, jisse in routes pe chalne wale hazaar passengers pareshan hote hain.
