more... on Monday. Despite pleas from his sister, Naina Kumari, the GRP refused to remove the body. Later, Pathardih police arrived and sent the body to Dhanbad for postmortem. The GRP claimed that the incident site was not in their jurisdiction and they couldn't remove the body until they received a memo from the station master. Locals, however, alleged that the GRP arrived at the scene, saw the body, and left. Pathardih Station Officer Pawan Chandra Pathak, showing humanity, lifted the body and sent it for postmortem. Jitendra, who worked at a brick kiln, was supporting his unmarried sister Naina. He had lost his father, Shashi Dhar Modi, and older brother earlier.
