They also surveyed the land from the reservation centre to the parking lot and portico, following the blueprint. The railway plans to spend 335 crore rupees on the redevelopment of Tatanagar station, aiming to provide airport-like facilities to passengers. The zonal team is conducting the survey before awarding the construction tender. The project includes the development of a pathway above the line and a subway below, alongside a three-storey building on both sides. Additional amenities planned include a sky lounge, branded restaurants, multi-storey parking, a shopping mall, air-conditioned dormitories, retiring rooms, lifts and escalators, parks, fountains, indoor games, a spa, a cinema hall, a flyover, a ring road, and more. This comprehensive project aims to eliminate the need for passengers to leave the station for any necessities.
