A new overbridge is being built on Fatak Road with a section leading to the station, providing alternative access for people from CTO and the railway colony. In the future, both station access routes will be made one-way, allowing traffic flow in opposite directions and reducing congestion. Sant Hirdaram Nagar station is being developed under the Amrit Bharat Station scheme and will have a transformed appearance by the end of the year. The station has been upgraded from two to four platforms.
