It includes 8 new stations, 27 major bridges, 148 minor bridges, 5 road over bridges, 15 road under bridges, and 21 tunnels totaling 31 km in length. The first 16.5 km section was commissioned in October 2021, with passenger train services connecting Shokhuvi to Naharlagun and Mendipathar. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly reduce transportation costs for essential goods in Nagaland, boosting the state's economy and providing reliable communication for the local population.

Is project mein 08 new stations hain, jisme Dhansiri, Dhansiripar, Shokhuvi, Molvom, Pherima, Piphema, Menguzuma aur Zubza shamil hain. Project mein 27 major bridges, 148 minor bridges, 05 Road Over Bridges, 15 Road Under Bridges aur 21 Tunnels hain jinka total length 31 km hai. Dhansiri se Shokhuvi tak ka 16.5 km section October, 2021 mein commissioned ho gaya tha.
