to have 492 coaches built by ICF Chennai, 492 by RCF Kapurthala, and 246 by MCF Rae Bareli by March 2025. These coaches will feature CCTV cameras, fire extinguishers, and modern amenities for the disabled. Additionally, surveys for high-speed routes for Amrit Bharat Express are underway in the South Eastern and other railway zones. Separately, the Railways will build 3200 new coaches for the Vande Bharat Express, with 1600 coaches to be built in each of the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27, to increase availability and service on various routes.
