Konkan Samithi opposes amalgamation of Mangaluru-Madgaon and Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express

The Konkan Vikas Samithi has opposed the amalgamation of the Mangaluru-Madgaon and Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express services, arguing it would negatively impact seat availability between Mumbai and Madgaon. They suggest extending the Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express to Mumbai as a standalone service or introducing a new sleeper service between Mangaluru...

and Mumbai. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, citing low patronage on the Mangaluru Central-Madgaon VB express, advocates for amalgamation or a tri-weekly standalone extension to Mumbai. The Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, with 100% occupancy, needs capacity augmentation, and extending it to Mangaluru could leave passengers from Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg-Goa without seats. The Samithi suggests extending the Mangaluru-Madgaon service to Mumbai and adding strategic halts to benefit passengers on both routes. Oliver D’Souza from Mumbai Rail Yatrikara Sangha proposes extending the Mangaluru-Madgaon service to Bandra or introducing a new Amrit Bharat service between Bandra and Mangaluru.

Konkan Vikas Samithi ne Mangaluru-Madgaon aur Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express services ko merge karne ke demand ka virodh kiya hai, kyunki yeh Mumbai aur Madgaon ke beech seat availability ko negatively affect karega. Unhone Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express ko Mumbai tak standalone service ke roop mein extend karne ya Mangaluru...

aur Mumbai ke beech ek nayi sleeper service introduce karne ka sujhav diya hai. Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Mangaluru Central-Madgaon VB express pe kam patronage ka bahana dete hue, merge ya Mumbai tak tri-weekly standalone extension ka sujhav dete hain. Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express, 100% occupancy ke saath, capacity augmentation ki jaroorat hai, aur ise Mangaluru tak extend karne se Mumbai-Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg-Goa ke passengers ke liye seat nahi reh sakti. Samithi ne Mangaluru-Madgaon service ko Mumbai tak extend karne aur dono routes ke passengers ko benefit dene ke liye strategic halts add karne ka sujhav diya hai. Mumbai Rail Yatrikara Sangha ke Oliver D’Souza ne Mangaluru-Madgaon service ko western Mumbai ke Bandra tak extend karne ya Bandra aur Mangaluru ke beech ek nayi Amrit Bharat service introduce karne ka sujhav diya hai.
