The 'Amrit Bharat Station' scheme includes the redevelopment of 34 stations in Madhya Pradesh, including 11 in the Bhopal division, with a total cost of 235.2 crore rupees. On February 26, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of 550 railway stations and 1500 railway flyovers/underpasses via video conferencing. This includes 5 stations, 4 road over bridges, and 2 underpasses in the Bhopal division, with a total cost of 292.19 crore rupees. Specific projects include station upgrades in Khirkiya, Sanchi, Bina, Ashoknagar, and Shajapur, and the construction of four ROBs and two underpasses. The 'Amrit Station' scheme focuses on station beautification and development, including station building reconstruction, incorporating local art and culture, circulating area development, high-level platforms, and improved accessibility through roads, footpaths, cycle paths, skywalks, and bridges.
