and Varanasi. The Prayagraj Junction to Fafamau section has already been doubled. There are three routes between Prayagraj and Varanasi, each managed by different zonal railways. While the other two routes (Prayagraj Junction-Prayagraj Rambag-Gyanpur Road-Varanasi and Prayagraj Junction-Mirzapur-Chunar-Kashi-Varanasi) are already doubled and electrified, the Prayagraj Junction-Fafamau-Janghai-Varanasi route is the only one remaining. The entire project is being undertaken by the Lucknow division of the North Railway, with the aim to complete it before the 2025 Kumbh Mela. This will enable the running of more trains on the route, reducing travel time and increasing train speeds. The electrification and doubling of the Janghai-Varanasi section was previously completed.

target is saal poora karne ka hai. Double hone ke baad, Varanasi jana ab kam time mein hoga. Prayagraj se Fafamau tak ka double karne ka kaam pehle hi ho chuka hai. Prayagraj se Varanasi ke liye total teen routes hain, har route alag-alag zonal railway ke hain. Inme se Prayagraj Junction-Prayagraj Rambag-Gyanpur Road-Varanasi, Prayagraj Junction-Mirzapur-Chunar-Kashi-Varanasi aur teesra route Prayagraj Junction-Prayag-Fafamau-Janghai-Varanasi hai. Fafamau-Janghai route chhod kar, baki dono routes ko pehle hi double and electrified kar diya gaya hai. Janghai se Varanasi tak ka route pehle hi electrified and doubled hai. 2025 mein hone wala Maha Kumbh ko dekhte hue, Railway ne Janghai-Fafamau route ko double and electrified karne ke liye 270.35 crore rupees ka budget release kiya hai. Is route ke double and electrified hone se, is route par chalne wali trains ki speed badhegi aur Prayagraj se Varanasi pahunchne mein bhi kam time lagega. Yeh pura kaam North Railway ke Lucknow division ki taraf se kiya ja raha hai. Lucknow division ka target hai ki Maha Kumbh 2025 se pehle yeh kaam pura ho jaaye, taaki is route par zyada se zyada trains chalai jaa sake.
