The Ambala Cantt railway station has lagged behind in cleanliness during a recent survey conducted by the Northern Railway across five divisions. In terms of station ranking, Firozpur division's Amritsar station came first, followed by Ambala division's Saharanpur station. These awards will be presented to the respective divisional officials on February 8th at the Railway Museum in New Delhi during the 68th Rail Week celebrations. Additionally, the Ambala division will receive an award for outstanding work in the accounts department, while the Jagadhri workshop will be awarded a shield. The Ambala division will also receive nine more shields for various achievements: maintenance and savings of electrical equipment in Saharanpur loco shed, electrical and AC maintenance in trains, family welfare initiatives, commendable maintenance of the divisional hospital, employee-related accounts, telecommunications, and maintenance of running rooms.
