Anita was leaving to return home with her aunt and two relatives, Pramod and Anoop, when they encountered the closed railway gate. Meanwhile, Roshni, from Reusa in Aurangabad, Sitapur, had also come to Kachouna to visit relatives and was with her brother Shakil. They were standing near the crossing and crossed the closed railway gate without looking after a goods train had passed. At that moment, the Lucknow Mail train arrived from Hardoi and struck them. Anita and Roshni died on the spot, while Pramod, Anoop, and Shakil were seriously injured. Local residents rushed to help and, with the assistance of the police, transported them to the hospital. Anita apni mausi ko dekhne aayi thi aur mangalwar subah apni mausi aur do rishtedaron, Pramod aur Anoop, ke saath ghar jaane ke liye nikli thi, tabhi unhe band railway gate mila.
