The Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project (BSRP) is being expanded by approximately 5.5 kilometers, extending two lines: Ranjanakunte-Heelalige (Corridor 4) and Whitefield to Kengeri (Corridor 2). The Karnataka Rail Infrastructure Development Enterprises (K-RIDE) has approved the State government's proposal to extend the Heelalige corridor by 1 km to Chandapura and the Kengeri...

stretch towards Challaghatta. The exact distance of the extension is pending a feasibility study. This extension was part of the 452-km Phase-2 project, whose pre-feasibility study was rejected by South Western Railway (SWR) in November 2023. K-RIDE has resubmitted the proposal to SWR, and if rejected again, they will submit a fresh proposal to the Railway Board. The project has received approval from the State government and now requires approval from the Centre.

Enterprises (K-RIDE) ne approve kar diya hai. Exact distance ka pata feasibility study ke baad hi chalega. Ye extension 452-km Phase-2 project ka part tha, jiska pre-feasibility study South Western Railway (SWR) ne November 2023 mein reject kar diya tha. K-RIDE ne SWR ko yeh proposal fir se submit kiya hai, aur agar reject hota hai, toh woh Railway Board ko fresh proposal submit karenge. Project ko State government ka approval mil chuka hai, ab sirf Centre ka approval chahiye.

Re# 5955154-1
Heelalige side, it is getting extended to Chandapura. Good decision.
Similarly, Rajanukunte side, it should get extended to Doddaballapura. Will benefit a lot. There are industrial areas at Doddaballapura and traffic between Yelahanka to Doddaballapura is very high.
Hope concerned will think about this.
