road tunnel (12.75 km) - T-49 - to reach Sumber railway station, located at a height of 1418 meters, where people cheered "Bharat Mata ki Jai". This 111-kilometer section of the USBRL project, stretching from Banihal to Katra, is now ready for operations between Banihal and Khari, as well as Sumber. The successful trial run between Khari and Sumber involved an electric engine, and engineers from Konkan Railway and IRCON, working on the USBRL project, have confirmed that both Khari and Sumber railway stations are now operational.
