A new building on the South side is also under construction, with 45% of foundation and column work completed. Two 33 KV electrical substations are being built to meet power demands. On the North side, a Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) is being constructed, with over 50% completion. Utility shifting for 25% of the existing station building has also been finished. A new Foot Over Bridge (FOB) towards the Kazipet-end is being constructed, with foundation work completed on two platforms. The General Manager of South Central Railway, Arun Kumar Jain, assures passengers that redevelopment works are planned to minimize inconvenience and will showcase modern architecture and amenities.
