She was critical of the railway's request, accusing them of hypocrisy and stating she was only made aware of the request through a news report, despite it being sent to the state government in November 2020. Banerjee has instructed officials to promptly inform her of such requests in the future. The expansion of the metro viaduct is intended to improve train operations between Dum Dum and Dakshineswar on the North-South line.

jiska opening 2021 mein hona hai. Banerjee ne skywalk ko 'dream project' kaha aur kaha ki wo usko tootne nahi denge. Unhone railway ke request ko hypocrisy ka naam diya aur kaha ki unhe is request ke baare mein pata news report se chala, halanki ye request state government ko November 2020 mein bheji gayi thi. Banerjee ne officials ko aage se aise request ke baare mein unhe jaldi batane ka order diya hai. Metro viaduct ka expansion Dum Dum aur Dakshineswar ke beech North-South line pe train operations ko improve karne ke liye kiya ja raha hai.
