The DRM of Chakradharpur Division along with other officers will also come to Tatanagar for the CRS inspection. 72 km of the third line has been completed till Tatanagar. RVNL started work on the 132 km (77 km in Jharkhand and 55 km in West Bengal) third line between Adityapur and Kharagpur in April 2018 at a cost of Rs 1225 crore, which is expected to be completed by June 2024 in the 5 km stretch of Tatanagar-Adityapur. The third line of Adityapur will be connected to the number 7 line of Tatanagar station. For this, the width of the underbridge near Pigments Gate in Jugsalai has been increased so that a new line can be laid. A new bridge has been built on the Kharkai river, while the land near the line in Jugsalai has been levelled.
