The introduction of the semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express, connecting Patna to Ranchi and Kolkata, has significantly improved travel times for passengers. The ECR has also implemented various improvements across its five divisions, including Danapore, Sonpur, Samastipur, Dhanbad, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU). These improvements include modernization of 12 stations to provide world-class facilities akin to airports. Furthermore, the ECR has introduced Automated Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) at various stations to reduce queues and facilitate online ticket purchase.
