PM flags off Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru and Goa

Bharath Shetty, Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and BJP MLC Pratap Simha Nayak were among those on board. The inaugural run was piloted by C. Dinesan and S.H. Padwal with Yogesh Bandekar and Girish Phayde as Assistant Loco Pilots. Mr. Kateel, in his speech, highlighted the benefits of the new train service and announced that a Vande Bharat Express between Mangaluru and Bengaluru is expected to be launched in April 2024. He also mentioned that he has been working on various projects amounting to ₹83,000 crore during his tenure as MP.
