Before the suspension, only a few passengers used the train to travel between Kanpur and Bithoor. The Manas Manch president, Subedar Pandey, had repeatedly requested the railway officials to change the train timings but the trains were restored on the old schedule. This has resulted in a lack of commuters, including daily passengers travelling between Bithoor and Kanpur. Residents of Bithoor desire the train to depart from Central in the morning, arriving in Bithoor around 6 am, and to leave Bithoor's Brahmavart station for Central at 7 am. This would allow passengers to bathe and perform religious rituals at the Ganga Ghat in the morning. The second train is desired to depart from Central in the evening, arriving in Bithoor around 6:30 pm, and to leave Brahmavart for Central around 7 pm, facilitating the return of workers and employees based in Kanpur.
