stretch from Lakshmibai Nagar to Barlai in approximately 13 minutes. Freight trains will initially run on the new track, followed by passenger trains, starting with reduced speeds. Later, speeds can be increased to 120 km/h, compared to the current 60-80 km/h. The project completion will benefit 70 trains, reducing their travel time by around half an hour, as trains will no longer have to wait for each other due to single-line limitations. The project was completed in three phases, starting with the 10 km stretch from Ujjain to Kadcha, followed by the 32 km stretch from Kadcha to Barlai, and finally the 27 km stretch from Barlai to Lakshmibai Nagar.
