where Maoist influence is strong. There are concerns that the rebels might target police outposts, camps, patrolling parties, and even government infrastructure, including railway tracks and construction sites. The Maoists had already begun a propaganda campaign on December 16th, including postering, to ensure the shutdown's success. The shutdown began late Thursday night, with a rail track being disrupted.

doran naksali apne prabhaav vale kshetra mein hamla kar sakte hain, isliye police abhiyan ke doran vishhesh satarkta bartane ko kaha gaya hai. Loose movement nahin karne ka mila nirdhesh Mukhyalaya ki aur se kaha gaya hai ki bandi ke doran kisi tarah ka loose movement nahin karen. Iski bhi aashanka hai ki naksali bandh ke doran police picket, camp, patrolling party ke alawa Scott vahan ko nishana bana sakte hain. Saath hi railway track ya sarkaari sampatti par hamla kar use nuksan pahuncha sakte hain. Aise mein jin ilakon mein sarkaari nirman kaam chal rahe hain, wahan vishhesh nigrani rakhne ke nirdhesh diye gaye hain. Gaurtalab hai ki bandh ko safal banane ke liye naksaliyon ki aur se 16 December se prachar abhiyan chalaya ja raha tha. Is doran naksaliyon ne Kolhan sahit apne prabhaav vale ilakon mein poster baaji bhi ki thi. Bandh shuru hote hi patari udaya gaya. Guruvaar ki der raat bandh shuru ho gaya.
