On Thursday night, Naxalites detonated an IED on the third line between Deranwa and Posoita, completely damaging the track near kilometer pole number 356/29A-31A. Prior to the blast, Naxalites had placed a banner on the up line near Deranwa station, which got caught on the Tata-Itwari passenger train's engine and went unnoticed. Two trains, the HAPA-Howrah Superfast and the Sambleshwari Express, are currently stranded in Manoharpur, and security has been heightened across all stations with increased security personnel.

Blast se pehle, Naxalites ne Deranwa station ke paas up line pe banner laga rakha tha, jo Tata-Itwari passenger train ke engine mein phans gaya aur kisi ko pata nahi chala. Abhi, Manoharpur mein do trains, HAPA-Howrah Superfast aur Sambleshwari Express, ruk gayi hain aur har station pe security badha di gayi hai.
