died. After an hour and a half, a railway doctor, Dr. Asim Kumar, arrived with his staff. A nurse cut the umbilical cord of the dead newborn. The Gomoh RPF team also arrived at the scene. The woman was covered in blood and in distress. Rajendra Singh, a local leader, arrived and helped carry the woman out of the station on a stretcher. She was then taken to the Topchanchi CHC (Community Health Center) by private vehicle. Ruby Kumari, 19, was traveling with her husband Amar Thakur from Surat to her village, Khedabeda in Chaita Panchayat. She got off the Malda Express at Chandrapura station and then took the Barkakana passenger train, arriving in Gomoh at 7 am. While climbing the bridge on the platform, she had the accident. A 108 ambulance arrived two hours after the incident, after Ruby Kumari had already been taken to the CHC. This was due to the lack of ambulances in Gomoh and Topchanchi. The railway also did not provide an ambulance. When local people were trying to carry Ruby Kumari on a stretcher, RPF personnel stopped them, took pictures, and then allowed them to proceed.

1.5 hours baad, railway ke doctor, Dr. Asim Kumar, apne staff ke saath station pe pahunche. Ruby Kumari, 19, apne husband Amar Thakur ke saath Surat se apne village, Khedabeda in Chaita Panchayat ja rahi thi. Wo Malda Express se Chandrapura station pe utri aur phir Barkakana passenger train li, aur subah 7 baje Gomoh pahuchi. Platform pe bridge chadhte waqt, accident ho gaya. Incident ke 2 hours baad 108 ambulance pahunchi, par tab tak Ruby Kumari ko CHC le jaaya ja chuka tha.
