It will improve connectivity to power plants in North India, resulting in uninterrupted power supply and reduced storage costs. The section will also enable faster transportation of goods from steel plants in Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha to consumer centers in North India. With an average speed of 60-70 kmph and a maximum speed of 100 kmph, this section will increase the DFCC's capacity by 240 freight trains daily, reducing travel time for express and passenger trains. The project aligns with the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' vision, enhancing access to national and international markets for local industries and benefiting agricultural, food processing, MSMEs, and handicraft industries.
