When they discovered the jobs were fake, they attempted to contact the accused but failed. Geeta Seth filed a complaint with the SSP, resulting in a police report against Anil Seth and Vinod Kumar at Izzatnagar Police Station for cheating and fraud. In a separate incident, software engineer Devansh Dubey from Bareilly was defrauded of 1 lakh rupees by a caller posing as an NCB officer who claimed his courier to Taiwan was seized. The caller, through video calls, persuaded Dubey to transfer money to an account for verification. After realizing the scam, Dubey filed a complaint at the SSP office seeking action.
