the last station of the Hajipur zone before entering the Asansol zone, is also significant for being close to the birthplace of Lord Mahavira, a Jain Tirthankara. The development, costing ₹23.38 crore, will include station building improvements, entrance and exit gates, concourse, platforms, circulating area, parking, disabled-friendly facilities, lighting, seating arrangements, drinking water, sanitation, access paths, signage, train displays, and beautification.
