A proposal for an emergency center on the platform is also under consideration. The Chief Principal Medical Director (CPMD), K. Sridhar, who was on a two-day visit to Varanasi, inspected the location for the health unit and other resources. He instructed the relevant railway officials to prepare a detailed report on the project. Before leaving for New Delhi on Wednesday via the Shramjeevi Express, he identified potential locations for emergency centers on the station platforms. Previously, passengers experiencing medical emergencies on trains were disembarked and taken to the nearest railway health center or divisional hospital.
