The train will be permanently discontinued on or around December 15th, 2023, although bookings are currently available on IRCTC's website. The decision to discontinue the train comes after the gauge conversion project between Mahu and Sanawad, which resulted in the removal of the meter gauge track between Mahu and Patalpani. The Heritage Train was originally launched in December 2018 and has operated annually since then.
