50% jump in AC train ridership on Central Railway’s suburban Mumbai services

Central Railway in Mumbai has seen a 50% increase in AC suburban train usage this year. Between April and November, 1.31 crore passengers used the AC service, compared to 87.61 lakh last year. The number of passengers tripled during peak summer, with April seeing 15.02 lakh passengers compared to 5.9 lakh last year. Currently, Central Railway operates 66 AC services with five rakes, offering a safe, cool, and economical ride. The average number of passengers per rake increased from 727 to 1,105 during April-November 2023.

Ab Central Railway apne suburban section pe 66 AC services chala rahi hai, jinme 5 rakes hain.
