The CMRL announced that the extension aims to ensure passenger safety and encourage people to stay indoors during the heavy rains caused by cyclone Michaung. The offer is not applicable to Store Value passes issued on the CMRL app or paper tickets. The cyclone has affected Chennai Metro operations, with water logging at St Thomas Mt metro station causing access restrictions. Ye offer CMRL app pe issued Store Value passes ya paper tickets pe applicable nahi hai.
