ROB (Rail Over Bridge) at the Eastern Railway Dhal in Noniyapatti had to be postponed due to technical issues. The MP Vijay Kumar Dubey inaugurated the new station building, upgraded passenger facilities, and laid the foundation stone for the construction of a double-lane 2.5-meter high railway underpass at the level crossing number 68-B on the Subhash Chowk-Kotwali road. He explained that although the approval for a ROB at this level crossing was received, the shopkeepers and other people on both sides of the road requested for an underpass due to potential inconvenience caused by the ROB. He also mentioned that the railway administration has approved the construction of subways with limited height at other level crossings, and their foundation stone laying ceremony will be conducted soon. The MP highlighted that the construction of the new station building at Padrauna, costing ₹4.46 crore, is being done with the Kushinagar architecture in mind and will feature a statue of Gautam Buddha. The platforms are being modernized and a waiting lounge and VIP lounge will be built for the convenience of tourists arriving by train. The station will be beautified according to Buddhist architecture, and the general passenger hall will also be developed.
