The project, undertaken by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Tata Group, aims to provide Pune residents with an efficient and affordable public transport option. Alok Kapoor, CEO of Pune IT City Metro Rail Limited, emphasized the dedication to completing the project on schedule, highlighting the casting of 5000 segments and the erection of 80% of total piers within 18 months of commencement.
