Only after POY is added to Salem division, it will get a independent train, if the conditions are like this....
Pollachi station as well as Pollachi to kinathukadavu are with PGT divn. Upto kinathukadavu is in Salem division. Beyond Pollachi towards Palani is in Madurai division. Very odd arrangement. This is the reason why there are no proper train from CBE to Madurai also.
Long back, there were talks of Sengottai Quilon section transfer to TVC, ERS to SRR to PGT divn and upto PGT and CBE to Madurai division. Unless this happens, only imaginary train can run in rail website!!!

If POY is attached to Madurai division, one can think of POY to MS via Dindigul, Trichy. Distance is almost same as via CBE. This will connect Palani to Trichy side also. As of now, there is no train from Trichy to Palani. Even the PGT to MAS SF takes odd route though it connects Namakkal, Salem to Palani at odd hours. Can Madurai division take lead?
