There are many ways to decide the biggest suburban like kilometer wise, ridership, earnings, city growth capability, contribution towards lessening road traffic, etc. As of now Mumbai is considered as biggest suburban network in Asia, there are couple of national geographic documentaries also.

yes agree but with some new Interconnections and alterations they can make it suitable and also Bengaluru have lot of floating pax so any type of Sub urban is hit their cause ppl need to avoid crowded buses and costly bus fares.Even upto some Extents Bengaluru Metro already helping it but its still it need to increase its route.

Transportation is really a big issue in Bangalore, I personally face it as it's my hometown, when I go to Bangalore by train especially the once which go to YPR, then it's like a hell of punishment to me, it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach my house which is in Electronic City, Suburban services would be a solution if the route n lines are chosen wisely

Yes Bengaluru really neede a good Sub urban network and i am sure peoples response towards sub urban will be tremendous and these Sub urban trains can be profitable to both railways and passengers so its win-win situation if they do it for Bengaluru city and surrounding outskirts.
