* Currently only 2 trains operate at speed above 130kmph i.e. Gatimaan at 160 kmph and BPL shatabdi at 150 kmph and that too on a small Delhi-AGC section, Rest of all train operation on IR network is at 130kmph or below.
* Clearance of WDP3A & WDP 4BH locos with speed potential of 140kmph & 160kmph, and Plan to induct them at loco sheds of SR, is an indication that speed barrier of 130kmph is likely to be broken at many more sections in near future over IR network.

more... to note that IR has finally found use of HHP D-locos over electrified network i.e. to haul 130kmph+ premier trains. Otherwise, with rapid ongoing electrification, Dlocos have a bleak future in IR.
