Just 24km rail line from Rajpura-Mohali-Chandigarh shall be very beneficial to residents of Mohali & nearby area.
This line shall facilitate direct connectivity between NDLS & Mohali, and Distance between NDLS & Mohali shall be 241kms as against 255 kms of existing via Dhappar.
Short connectivity of Chandigarh-Raqjpura-Bhatinda-Sriganganagar shall be beneficial to the public. A chaircar type intercity is expected between Chandigarh-Bhatinda/Sriganganagar.

Big big development for the Punjab and esp the malwa region. Connecting 24 kms with rail line between Rajpura and means whole malwa belt i.e. Patiala, Dhuri, Bathinda and further Sriganganagar and Gujrat would also benefit. This particular stretch was not being considered on the behest of bus mafia which operates between chandigarh and Patiala and Bathinda. Amrinder Singh should take it up with railways on priority and get it completed before the next election otherwise it would never get completed.
