Every woman is always carrying such appified phones

They have recognized that an increasing number of people now have access to smart phones and are leveraging every possible way to enforce safety in trains. Compared to deploying personnel all across the network, it is much quicker and easier to just develop an App. Overtime other steps will also be taken, this is just a start.

Women Helpline works much better n trustworthy after a recent experience.
My cousin was travelling in Durg Jagdalpur Express, there were 3 women but at mid stations 2 got down .
Only one Girl was there traveling alone. She found some unusual about 3 guys traveling in only sleeper coach. She dialed Women Helpline and From next station An RPF guy was sent for her assistance and at every station grp eas confirming her well being and she was assisted till She reached Jagdalpur station.
