great execution it means this time NF will get special consignment to send water to WR & NWR....but one question...will they be sent it BTPN after decanting Petroleum product or is Narendra Modi going to arrange special tankers for carrying water?

drinking ho ya agricultural water, excess water is available in only NF & KR...now Konkan is not easily accessible by Rail so I think NF should be primary loading pt & yes water grid needs to be built more emphasis should be given on southern & western grids as these are drought prone areas & primary focus should be to provide water for agriculturual process.

Very good initiative. Entire Ganga-Kosi-Brahmputra belt in Eastern UP, Bihar, Bengal, Assam is normally disturbed from excess water during monsoon months.. Would be great if this excess water can be used in drought affected Gujarat, MH & Rajasthan..
Next step should be to execute 'River linking project' suggested by Vajpayee govt, which was put on shelves by UPA govt..

yes parts of katihar & sonpur divsn can also be benefited by this project...but primary challenge will be to arrange the tanker wagons....because firstly IR doesnt have enough rolling stock to transport water..next they can use BTPN after decanting but in that case BTPN for transporting petroleum products may have a shortfall & once BTPN starts used in transporting water at least till the end of harvesting season, those cant be used for Petrol again..so IR has to procure enough No. of tankers first.
Another issue is when the takers will be loaded to carry water from NF/ER/EC towards WR/WCR/NW,but in return direction they must come empty.so there will be an empty haulage charge which the benefitting states have to born.
