800+ km is going a little too much for a daytime train, especially for routes where mps isn't high either [Judging by the average of the other trains, the mps can't be too high; does it touch 130 kph for much of the distance either?]. Even if it does an average of 80 kph on this route, it'll still be a back breaking 10 hour journey that can better be salvaged with an overnight train, IMO.

Also,I just checked that both the cities are also connected by air. So, a business traveler

who really puts a premium on their time will never choose a 10 hr VB over a 4 hr flight [including check in time; the actual flight time is 2 hrs]. Maybe if the intervening stations are big enough to give significant pax, then it might be good enough to run, but purely for end to end purposes, an overnighter with a fast TT is better.

Why are retractable metal lids given in some ICE trains when there is no PC in them, obviously and no mechanism of serving food? They often are broken and don't stay in place and passenger has to travel with an opened metal tray hanging from the back of the front seat.

Honestly, the modern LHB coaches piss me off. The seats in 2S aren't aligned with the windows properly and one needs to strain their neck to see outside properly on many seats. I am almost nostalgic about the actual unreserved

Re# 6221297-1
Most of the passengers amenities provided in LHB coaches are made of plastic and I doubt whether they will last long or replaced the broken ones in POH every 18 months. Coming to wash basin they are small that water will fell down while washing face and in some coaches they are fitted inside washroom wall that can be used only for hand wash. Washroom space is congested then ICF and the design of the floor is flat that water comes put to the common areas. ICF old washrooms are far better. Coming to windows of SL and GS the design of glasses has changed to sliding like in buses but they have fixed metal in between two windows that outside view is blocked and also the air flow. Atleast they should have used trasparent overlapping glass in middle with outside grill rebars.

Useful:info.
Nashik road has an excellent retiring room. It has air conditioned dormitory beds for males and rooms for family.

The dormitory beds are quite well maintained, clean and provide you with a bed, blanket, a dressing table, dustbin, charging points. Each bed is a separate coupe and offers some level of privacy. Around 20+ beds are available.

start at 180/3 hours, which is super affordable considering the amenities.
Washrooms and bathrooms were pretty clean too.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
