Hub (MMTH) integrating railways, GSRTC buses, metro, and other modes. The station is designed with architectural features and will serve as a significant hub for passenger traffic and economic activities in Surat, one of India's fastest-growing cities. The project involves expanding the station building, upgrading platforms, enhancing passenger amenities, and beautifying the station complex. The estimated cost of the Surat station redevelopment project is ₹1,477 crore, with ₹481 crore contributed by the Gujarat government and over ₹996 crore by the railways. The redevelopment work is being undertaken by a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed by the Surat Integrated Transport Corporation (SITCO), Indian Railways, and the Gujarat government. The renovated Surat station will offer world-class passenger amenities, including a vast auditorium spanning 10,900 square meters, lounges, retail shops, and a skywalk. Additional facilities will be developed above the platforms to manage crowds. The station will have 41 lifts and 70 escalators for easy passenger movement and will be fully accessible to people with disabilities. It is being developed as a platinum-rated green building, promoting environmental conservation and ensuring efficient use of energy, water, and other resources. The redevelopment work is progressing rapidly, with significant progress made in various areas including the construction of the station building extension, new passenger holding areas, and the GSRTC building. The second phase of the project involves constructing a 5.5 km long elevated road network, which will connect major buildings and is expected to be completed within 2.5 years.

ja raha hai, ek Multi-Modal Transport Hub (MMTH) ban jaayega jisme railways, GSRTC buses, metro aur aur bhi modes ko ek saath jod diya jaayega. Station ko aise design kiya gaya hai jisme architecture ka bhi dhyaan rakha gaya hai aur yeh Surat ke liye ek bada hub ban jaayega, jo India ke fastest growing cities mein se ek hai. Project mein station building ko bada karna, platforms ko upgrade karna, passengers ke liye facilities ko behtar karna aur station complex ko khubsurat banane ka kaam shamil hai. Surat station ke puraane se naya banane ka project ka estimated cost ₹1,477 crore hai, jisme ₹481 crore Gujarat government ne diya hai aur ₹996 crore se zyada railways ne diya hai. Ye puraane se naya banane ka kaam ek Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) kar raha hai jisko Surat Integrated Transport Corporation (SITCO), Indian Railways aur Gujarat government ne milkar banaya hai. Puraane se naya bane hue Surat station mein world-class passenger facilities honge, jisme 10,900 square meters mein faila hua ek bada auditorium, lounges, retail shops aur ek skywalk bhi shamil hoga. Platforms ke upar additional facilities bhi banaye jaayenge, jisse crowd control kiya ja sake. Station mein 41 lifts aur 70 escalators honge jisse passengers aaram se aava-jaava kar sake aur ye disabled passengers ke liye bhi poori tarah se accessible hoga. Station ko platinum-rated green building ke roop mein banaya ja raha hai, jisse environment ko bachaya ja sake aur energy, water aur aur bhi resources ka efficient use kiya ja sake. Puraane se naya banane ka kaam bahut tez chal raha hai, station building extension, new passenger holding areas aur GSRTC building ke construction mein kaafi progress ho chuka hai. Project ke dusre phase mein 5.5 km lamba elevated road network banaya ja raha hai, jisme 2 road over bridges (ROBs) honge. Ye elevated road network project main building ko connect karega, jiske liye ₹497 crore kharch hone ka andaza hai aur yeh aage ke 2.5 saal mein complete hone ki ummeed hai.
