According to the Railway Board's order, the Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20175-76) is manned by North Central Railway (NCR) staff for both trips. The employees protested, demanding that Northeast Railway loco pilots and train managers be included in the crew until Prayagraj or Kanpur. The Northeast Railway Employees Union (NERMU) argued that the Northeast Railway crew members were being neglected by not being included in the Vande Bharat Express crew. They emphasized the importance of including Northeast Railway personnel to ensure proper knowledge of the route and to improve the mileage and promotion prospects of Northeast Railway loco pilots and guards.
