The RPF was immediately informed, and subsequently, the BKT fire station was notified. A fire engine, unit number UP 41 G 3705, was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, it was observed that the fire had ignited in the undercarriage of a wagon, specifically in the 'shakar' (a component of the wagon). Railway staff extinguished the fire. The fire station unit observed some residual smoke, which was extinguished using buckets of water by railway personnel. There were no injuries reported in this incident.
