On Tuesday, KR Choudhary, DRM of the Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway, visited Dhalbhumgarh station. Residents of Patnayaksol village, located south of the station, approached the DRM with their long-standing demand for a railway overbridge connecting their...

village to the south. They highlighted the difficulties faced by villagers due to the lack of an overbridge, forcing them to cross the railway tracks at risk. The DRM, however, deemed an overbridge unnecessary, suggesting they use the National Highway instead. He asked the villagers to submit a written application to the station for further consideration. He also mentioned that an underpass would be provided if the gates are closed. The villagers countered by stating that MP Vidhyut Baran Mahto had informed them about the expansion of the overbridge six to seven months ago. The DRM acknowledged having heard about the expansion.

demand ko rakha ki apne village ko south me connect karne ke liye railway overbridge banaya jaaye. Unhone bataaya ki overbridge nahi hone ki wajah se villagers ko bahut difficulties ka samna karna padta hai, aur unhe railway tracks cross karne ke liye apni life risk me dalni padti hai. DRM ne however, overbridge ki zarurat nahi mani, aur villagers ko National Highway use karne ka suggestion diya. Unhone villagers se apne level pe station me ek application submit karne ko kaha, jisse woh baad me consider kar payenge.
