While Vande Bharat Express trains desh ke kai major cities ko connect kar rahe hain, Kumaon ka pehla railway station, Kathgodam, abhi tak is service se achucha hai. Railway authorities ne abhi tak Vande Bharat Express Kathgodam tak chalane ki koi plan nahi banayi hai, lekin local businesses ka maan na hai ki is service ko start karne se tourism aur business dono mein badhaava milega. Banaras se Kathgodam tak Vande Bharat Express chalaane ki bhi sambhavna jataayi ja rahi hai.
